Christopher R. Harrison
Attorney Christopher R. Harrison, Esq. is originally from southern Arkansas. He moved to Riverside, California during elementary school and graduated from Redlands High School in Redlands, California in 1999.
Christopher enlisted with the United States Army in 2000 and completed basic combat training at Ft. Benning, Georgia. He completed his Advanced Individual Training as a Combat Medic at Ft. Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. From there, Christopher returned to Ft. Benning and completed Army Airborne School. He was then assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina.
Christopher served on a forward operating surgical team and was selected as the medic for the 82nd Airborne’s Best Ranger Team. In 2002, Christopher deployed to Afghanistan, providing combat surgical operations in the Kandahar and Khost provinces before returning to Ft. Bragg in January of 2003. Christopher ended his military service with the Army’s Psychological Operations Command and has since made Las Vegas his home.
Christopher worked as an emergency medical technician while attending college on the G.I. Bill, completing courses in psychology and statistical analysis. His interest in psychological evaluation instruments, including the Weschler Adult Intelligence Scale and the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory, led to a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Nevada State College.
Christopher developed an affection for the law while studying cognitive psychology, the scientific study of attention, perception, reasoning, and problem-solving. Armed with this information, he began evaluating the reasoning behind American common law, how it is perceived, and the problems it attempts to solve. Unsatisfied with recreational study, Christopher chose to attend law school.
While attending William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Christopher developed his talent for writing by studying landmark Supreme Court decisions and the briefs that led to those decisions. Christopher’s initial training on the practical application of civil law came from an internship with the national law firm Greenspoon Marder, where he learned the fundamentals of estate planning and civil litigation. Cristopher first learned the practice of criminal law at the Clark County District Attorney’s office, then moved into criminal defense while maintaining a caseload hovering around 500 clients at Nevada’s largest law firm..
In his off time, Christopher enjoys time with his wife, his Indian motorcycle, and precision rifle competition.
